School-based curriculum adoption

  • Comprehensive access to learning and teaching materials via CoolThink@JC Online Learning Platform
  • Early access to new curricular materials on artificial intelligence in primary education and related workshops
  • Expert advice on school-based curriculum development and computing facilities and infrastructure

Teacher professional development (PD)

  • Unlimited access to modularised and flexible teacher PD course on computational thinking education (at least 3 teachers)
  • Certification issued by EdUHK and/or MIT to each teacher upon his/her satisfactory completion of the PD course
  • Lesson observation and peer support offered by experienced Mentor Teachers

 In-class co-teaching assistance

  • Up to one Teaching Assistant for each CoolThink lesson in the school’s 1st year of joining the programme, upon proper request and class scheduling

Up-start subsidies

  • Up to HK$100,000 in subsidy for teachers relief and purchasing of necessary hardware
  • Up to HK$100,000 in subsidy for classroom renovation and creation of a CoolThink@JC Studio
  • Up to HK$50,000 in award for outstanding development of school-based curriculum

Family workshops

  • CoolThink@JC’s popular Family Workshops can be arranged exclusively for parents from a particular School

Student showcase opportunities

  • Recognition as a “CoolThink@JC School” of the Programme for interviews and publicity opportunities in the media
  • Participation in CoolThink@JC’s signature events (Coding Fairs and Student Competitions) as well as others (Learning & Teaching Expo)

Assessment and research

  • Participation in vigorous research to inform teaching and student learning
